在希伯來書11:32中提到的另一個人物是撒母耳。當撒母耳還只是一個小男孩的時候，他就已經相信上帝了。有一個晚上，撒母耳聽到有人喊了好幾次他的名字，撒母耳以為是祭司以利在叫他，但是以利對撒母耳說：「回去睡吧；如果他再喊你，你就說：『上主啊，請說，僕人聽著！』」(第9b節)。撒母耳照著以利的話做，並且從上帝那裡得到一個特別的信息。 撒母耳逐漸長大並成為以色列的一位先知和士師，因為撒母耳的信心，上帝祝福他。撒母耳也是那位將掃羅和大衛分別出來、立他們作以色列王的人。撒母耳忠心地服事上帝很多年。 上帝至今仍然對我們說話，有時候祂會透過祂的話語 (聖經) 說話，也有時候祂會藉著其他基督徒來跟我們說話。我們應該時時預備好要接受上帝的信息，並且去做祂要我們做的事情。今天你一定要注意上帝的話。—JK 「於是撒母耳把橄欖油拿出來，在他哥哥們面前膏立了大衛。上主的靈立刻支配大衛，從那天起與他同在。」 撒母耳記上16:130a

Another person mentioned in Hebrews 11:32 is Samuel. Samuel had faith in God even when he was a young boy. One night, Samuel heard someone call his name several times. Samuel thought that Eli, the priest, was calling him. But Eli said, “Go to bed. If he calls you again, say, ‘Speak, Lord. I am your servant and I am listening’” (verse 9b). Samuel obeyed and received a special message from God. Samuel grew up and became a prophet and judge of Israel. God blessed Samuel because of his faith. Samuel was the person who set apart Saul and David to be kings of Israel. Samuel faithfully served God for many years. God still speaks to us today. Sometimes He speaks through His Word, the Bible. Other times He may speak through other Christians. We should always be ready to accept God’s message and do what He wants us to do.
