希伯來書11:30說：「由於信心，以色列人繞著耶利哥城走了七天以後，城牆倒塌了。」今天閱讀的經文告訴我們，帶領以色列人繞著耶利哥城行走的人是約書亞，而他也是一個信心的偉人。在這之前的許多年，約書亞就相信上帝會將以色列人帶到一個新地土 (申命記第1章)。 現在約書亞帶領以色列人征服了耶利哥城，他們並沒有使用武器或炸藥來摧毀耶利哥的城牆，他們唯一做的只是繞著耶利哥城行走，是上帝讓城牆倒下的。 有時候我會害怕服事上帝，因為我不明白靠自己的力量如何能幫助我完成上帝的旨意。我需要瞭解的是，我應該倚靠上帝的力量來幫助我，而我也需要相信，上帝可以成就那些對我來說似乎是不可能的事情。 —JK 「在你們前面行的耶和華─你們的 神必為你們爭戰，正如他在埃及和曠野，在你們眼前所行的一樣。」 申命記1:30

Hebrews 11:30 says, “And the walls of Jericho fell because of the faith of God’s people. They marched around the walls for seven days, and then the walls fell.” Our Bible Reading tells us that the man who led the Israelites around Jericho was Joshua. He, too, was a great man of faith. Many years before, Joshua had faith that God could bring the Israelites into a new land (Deuteronomy, chapter 1). Now Joshua led the Israelites in conquering the city of Jericho. The Israelites did not use weapons or dynamite to destroy the wall around Jericho. All they did was march around Jericho, and God caused the walls to fall down. Sometimes I am scared to do something for God. I do not understand how my own strength can help me do what God wants. I need to realize that I should depend on God’s strength to help me. I need to have faith that He can do things that seem impossible to me. —JK “The Lord your God is in front, leading you. He will fight for you just as he did in Egypt.” Deuteronomy 1:30
PRAYER: Dear God, every day I need to depend on Your strength to help me live for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen. |
