耶穌 (5)

聖經閱讀：馬太福音27:15-26

幾年前，在十二月的一個星期天，我在附近一個州的商場買東西，突然外面開始下大雪，於是商場透過廣播系統說，因為下大雪，他們要暫時關閉商場。緊接著，每個人都衝向門口要去開車，在擁擠的人群中，大家互相推擠、碰撞，有些人甚至被推倒在地。

也許今天經文閱讀中提到的人群也像這樣──人們互相推擠、大聲說憤怒的話。人群中也許有些人甚至不認識耶穌，但是他們很激動並跟著其他人一起喊叫。到最後，他們決定處死耶穌。

你是否曾經想要跟著人群走？你是否曾經被引誘去做不對的事，只因為你旁邊的人都這麼做？保羅在羅馬書12:2提醒我們不要盲從別人的行為，我們反而要學像耶穌那樣思考和行動。 —JK

Many years ago, on a sunny day in December, I was shopping in a mall in a nearby state. Very suddenly it started snowing hard. They announced on the mall speaker system that it was snowing heavily and that they were closing the mall. Immediately everyone rushed toward the doors to get to their cars. In the crowd, people were jostled and shoved. Some people were even pushed to the ground.

Maybe the crowd in our Bible Reading was like that — people pushing and shouting angry words. Probably some people in the crowd didn’t even know Jesus. But they became excited and started shouting along with the rest of the crowd. In the end, they chose to kill Jesus.

Have you ever wanted to follow the crowd? Have you ever been tempted to do something wrong just because those around you were doing it? Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2 that we should not be doing what everyone else is doing. Instead, we should think and act like Jesus. —JK

“Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking.” Romans 12:2a

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to do what You want me to do today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
