簡短的禱告 (3)

聖經閱讀：列王紀下20:1-11

希西家在25歲時登上王位，他統治耶路撒冷29年。希西家信靠上帝並做對的事，在猶大再也沒有一個王像他這樣。希西家除掉所有的偶像並持守上帝的命令。

今天閱讀的經文跟我們談到希西家王病了，上帝吩咐以賽亞去告訴希西家他會死去，希西家號咷大哭，然後向上帝這樣禱告：「上主啊，求你記得我始終忠誠，一心一意事奉你，做了你認為對的事」（第3a節）。

希西家並沒有求上帝醫治他，他只求上帝記得他的忠心，因為希西家的忠心，上帝吩咐以賽亞去告訴希西家祂會醫治他。上帝為希西家增加了15年的壽命。

不要忘記上帝留心聆聽你的禱告，祂看見你的憂傷和眼淚，祂也記得你的忠心。 —DF

King Hezekiah was 25 years old when he became king. He ruled in Jerusalem for 29 years. Hezekiah trusted God and did what was right. There was no other king in Judah that was like him. Hezekiah removed all the false idols and kept God’s commands.

Our Bible Reading tells us that King Hezekiah became sick. God told Isaiah to tell Hezekiah that he would die. Hezekiah cried very hard and prayed this prayer to God: “Lord, remember that I have sincerely served you with all my heart. I have done what you say is good” (verse 3a).

Hezekiah didn’t ask God to heal him. He only asked God to remember his faithfulness. Because of Hezekiah’s faithfulness, God told Isaiah to tell Hezekiah that He would heal him. God added 15 years to Hezekiah’s life.

Don’t forget that God pays attention to your prayers. He sees your sorrow and tears. And He remembers your faithfulness. —DF
