上帝的愛

去年我有一趟到貝里斯的宣教之旅，其中的一個領隊告訴我們，說如果真的想要讓人感受到愛，我們可能會被要求離開舒適的地方去做事。 　這一件事我想了很久，如果我們真的愛上帝也愛人，也許會被挑戰去做從來沒做過的事。我們常常被引誘去做容易的事，但是我們必須記住，作為基督徒往往不是一件容易的事。 　在今天閱讀的經文中，我們知道上帝會永遠與我們同在，沒有任何事可以隔絕我們跟祂的愛，「因為我確信，甚麼都不能夠使我們跟上帝的愛隔絕。不管是死，是活；是天使，是靈界的掌權者」（第38a節）。我們也同時學到，當遇到困難時，「我們靠著愛我們的主已經獲得完全的勝利！」（第37節）今天上帝也許會要你去做困難的事，不要放棄，就信靠祂來賜給你勝利和喜樂。 —KD 「是高天，是深淵；在整個被造的宇宙中，沒有任何事物能夠把我們跟上帝藉著我們的主基督耶穌所給我們的愛隔絕起來。」 羅馬書8:39 禱告：上帝，謝謝祢賜下奇妙的愛。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Last year I went on a mission trip to Belize. One of our trip leaders told us that if we really wanted to show love, we might be asked to do things outside our comfort zone. 　I thought about that for a long time. If we truly love God and other people, we may be challenged to do things we have never done before. Often we are tempted to do things the easy way, but we need to remember that being a Christian is not always easy. 　In our Bible verses today, we learn that God will always be with us. Nothing can separate us from His love. “Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from God's love — not death, life, angels, or ruling spirits” (verse 38a). We also learn that when we face hard times, “we have complete victory through God, who has shown his love for us” (verse 37). God may ask you to do difficult things today. Don't give up. Depend on Him to give you victory and joy. —KD “I am sure that nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us or nothing below us — nothing in the whole created world — will ever be able to separate us from the love God has shown us in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39 PRAYER: God, thank You for Your wonderful love.
