今天的經節告訴我們，上帝差派天使跟基甸說話。天使告訴基甸，說上帝要他帶領以列色人對抗米甸軍隊，然而基甸害怕成為領袖，他不相信上帝會揀選他來帶領以色列人。 　但是上帝告訴基甸：「我一定與你同在。你將輕易擊敗米甸人，好像擊打一人一樣」(第16節)。上帝並不是因為基甸強壯、勇敢才揀選他，上帝揀選他是因為祂要讓以色列人知道，只有上帝的大能才能保護他們免受米甸軍隊的攻擊。 　也許上帝要你成為祂的領袖──去教主日學課程，或是帶查經，或是踏上宣教的旅程，但是你卻感到害怕。請記住，上帝與基甸同在，祂也會與你同在。 　今天就對上帝持守忠心，當你事奉祂時，祂會幫助你、帶領你。 —MS 「上主轉向基甸，對他說：你要盡你最大的力量解救以色列脫離米甸人。我親自差派你去。」 士師記6:14 禱告：恩主，我知道祢與我同在，就像祢與基甸同在一樣。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (江惠蓉譯)

A Leader for God

Our Bible verses today tell us that God sent an angel to speak to Gideon. The angel told Gideon that God wanted him to lead the Israelites against the Midianite army. But Gideon was afraid to become a leader. He could not believe that God had chosen him to lead the Israelites. 　But God told Gideon, “I will be with you, so you can defeat the Midianites as easily as if they were only one man” (verse 16). God did not choose Gideon because he was strong and brave. God chose him because He wanted the Israelites to see that only God's power could save them from the Midianite army. 　Maybe God wants you to be a leader for Him — to teach a Sunday School class or Bible study or to go on a mission trip. But you are afraid. Remember that God was with Gideon, and He will be with you, too. 　Stay faithful to God today. He will help you and guide you as you serve Him. —MS “The Lord turned toward Gideon and said, ‘Then use your great power and go save the Israelites from the Midianites. I am sending you to save them.'” Judges 6:14 PRAYER: Lord, I know that You are with me, just like You were with Gideon. In Jesus' name. Amen.
