活在愛中
聖經閱讀：約翰福音15:9-15 現代中譯本|合和本

年輕的時候，我的姑姑曾經告訴我堂兄亞倫是怎麼去世的。亞倫那時正在海軍進行一項操練，這個操練他之前已經做過很多次了，但由於某個錯誤，他的直升機栽進水裡。 　堂兄那時能夠從水中的直升機救出兩個人，然後他看到駕駛員被困住了、逃不出來，於是亞倫救了駕駛員，但是在過程中，他卻沒辦法救出自己。 　在今天的經文中，耶穌說：「正如父親愛我，我愛你們；你們要常生活在我的愛中」（第9節）。我相信堂兄就像耶穌那樣愛人，他願意捨棄自己的生命去救別人。 　當遵循耶穌的命令時，我們就在生命中擁有了祂的愛和喜樂。我禱告祈求今天你會有勇氣去向人施展祂的愛。 —IE 「你們要彼此相愛，像我愛你們一樣；這是我的命令。人為朋友犧牲自己的性命，人間的愛沒有比這更偉大的了。」 約翰福音15:12-13 禱告：上帝，謝謝祢賜下耶穌愛的榜樣，我願去向人施展祂的愛。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

When I was young, my aunt told me how my cousin Aaron died. Aaron was in the Navy doing a drill that he had done many times before. Something went wrong and his helicopter went down into the water. 　My cousin was able to get two men out of the submerged helicopter. Then he realized that the pilot was stuck and could not get out. Aaron saved the pilot, but in the process, he was not able to save himself. 　In our Bible verses today, Jesus said, “I have loved you as the Father has loved me. Now continue in my love” (verse 9). I believe that my cousin loved like Jesus did. He was willing to give up his life to save others. 　When we follow Jesus’ commands, we have His love and joy in our lives. I pray that you will have the courage to show His love to others today. —IE “This is what I command you: Love each other as I have loved you. The greatest love people can show is to die for their friends. You are my friends if you do what I tell you to do.” John 15:12-13 PRAYER: God, thank You for Jesus’ example of love. I want to show His love to other people. In His name. Amen.
