很多人擔心世界似乎越來越糟糕，有越來越多人違背上帝，一些人不去教會，很多人不相信上帝。在歷史上這些事並不是第一次發生，從舊約聖經中，我們得知以色列民違背上帝。今天讀的經文告訴我們，在所羅門王完成建造聖殿和他自己的王宮之後，主向他顯現。主對所羅門王說：「只要他們向我禱告，並且謙卑悔改，離棄他們所做的壞事，我就會從天上垂聽他們，赦免他們的罪，重新使他們的土地繁榮起來」（第14節）。 如果人們持續犯罪並違背上帝，會有什麼後果呢？有些人認為上帝將不會饒恕我們，但是我相信，只要我們謙卑自己、禱告、尋求上帝並遠離罪惡，上帝就會赦免我們並使我們的土地繁榮起來。 今天就在上帝面前謙卑下來，懇求祂赦免你。 －CPE* 「上主喜愛他的子民；他以勝利授于謙卑的人。」 詩篇149:4

Many people are concerned that things seem to be getting worse in the world. More people are rebelling against God. Some people do not go to church. And many people do not believe in God. This is not the first time in history that these things have happened. In the Old Testament, we learn that the nation of Israel rebelled against God. Our Bible Reading tells us that the Lord appeared to Solomon after he finished building the Lord’s Temple and his own palace. The Lord said to Solomon, “...if my people who are called by my name become humble and pray, and look for me, and turn away from their evil ways, then I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sins and heal their land” (verse 14). What will happen to us if people continue to rebel and sin against God? Some people think that God will not forgive us. But I believe that if we become humble, pray, seek God and turn away from sin, then God will forgive us and heal our land. Be humble before God today. Ask Him to forgive you. —CPE* “The Lord is happy with his people. He did a wonderful thing for his humble people. He saved them!” Psalm 149:4
PRAYER: Dear God, I humble myself and seek You. Thank You for Your forgiveness. In Jesus’ name. Amen. |
