瞭解仇敵

軍事領袖總是設法全盤瞭解戰爭中所面對的敵軍，他們會努力去發現敵軍的弱點和長處。 　身為基督徒，我們必須瞭解我們的仇敵。有時候我們會認為傷害我們的人就是我們的仇敵，但是我們真正的仇敵是魔鬼。在約翰福音8:44，耶穌告訴一些猶太人：「你們原是魔鬼的兒女，只想隨從你們父親的慾念行事。從起初他就是謀殺者，從不站在真理一邊，因為他根本沒有真理。他撒謊是出於本性；因為他本是撒謊者，也是一切虛謊的根源。」 　在今天的經文中，保羅提醒以弗所教會的基督徒，他們「不是對抗有血有肉的人」（第12a節），他告訴他們，他們「是對天界的邪靈，就是這黑暗世代的執政者、掌權者，和宇宙間邪惡的勢力作戰」（第12b節）。 　要小心注意魔鬼，他是你的仇敵，而且他很有勢力。就倚靠上帝來幫助你抵擋魔鬼的攻擊，要為上帝和對的事堅定不移。 —PD 「要警醒戒備！你們的仇敵─魔鬼正像咆哮的獅子走來走去，搜索可吞吃的人。」 彼得前書5:8 禱告：上帝，感謝祢幫助我對抗魔鬼。奉耶穌的名禱告，阿們！ (李信儀譯)

Know the Enemy

Military leaders try to learn all they can about the enemy they face in war. They try to discover the enemy’s weaknesses and strengths. 　As Christians, we need to know our enemy. Sometimes we think that people who hurt us are our enemies. But our real enemy is the devil. In John 8:44, Jesus told some Jews, “Your father is the devil. You belong to him. You want to do what he wants. He was a murderer from the beginning. He was always against the truth. There is no truth in him. He is like the lies he tells. Yes, the devil is a liar. He is the father of lies.” 　In our Bible Reading today, Paul reminded the Ephesian Christians that their fight was “not against people on earth” (verse 12a). He told them they were “fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places” (verse 12b). 　Be careful and watch out for the devil. He is your enemy, and he is strong. Depend on God to help you withstand the devil’s attacks. Stand strong for God and what is right. —PD “Control yourselves and be careful!
