你有沒有看過一個小孩嘗試去做父母所做的事？看著小女孩將她的洋娃娃包在毯子裡並且小心地照顧它，或者觀察一個小男孩推著玩具除草機越過草坪，都是有趣的事。孩子模仿父母的好行為是很好的，但是當他們模仿父母做壞事時就不好了。這就是為什麼我們應該持續努力去做對的事，並且為別人樹立一個好榜樣。 保羅在今天的經文中提醒我們，我們不應該努力去跟其他人一樣，而應該努力學像完美而且總是做正確事的上帝。如果我們努力學像上帝，那麼我們總是會蒙祂喜悅，而且我們將會成為一個讓別人跟隨的好榜樣。 我希望今天你會努力學像上帝。 —CW* 「既然你們是上帝所愛的兒女，你們必須效法他。你們的生活要處處表現愛心，正如基督愛我們，為我們捨命，作為馨香的供物和祭品獻給上帝。」 以弗所書5:1-2

Have you ever watched a small child trying to do what his parents do? It is fun to watch a little girl wrap her doll in a blanket and gently care for it or to watch a little boy push a toy lawn mower across the lawn. It is good when children copy the good things that their parents do. But it is not good when they try to imitate the bad things their parents do. That is why we should always try to do the right thing and set a good example for others. Paul reminds us in our Bible Reading that we should not try to be like other people. We should try to be like God, who is perfect and always does the right thing. If we try to be like God, then we will always please Him. And we will be a good example for other people to follow. I hope that you will try to be like God today. —CW* “You are God’s dear children, so try to be like him. Live a life of love. Love others just as Christ loved us. He gave himself for us — a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I want to be just like You. Help me to be a good example for others. In Jesus’ name. Amen. |
