耶穌是謙卑的

耶穌在世上的生活充滿了許多平凡的事。祂不是出生在君王的宮殿中，相反的，當耶穌出生的時候，祂被放在一個餵食動物飼料的槽裡。 　耶穌長大後，祂或許在世上的父親約瑟身邊幫忙。約瑟是一個木匠，耶穌也許幫助他製作一些常見的東西，像是椅子和桌子。當我們讀到耶穌的事工時，我們看到祂既不富有也沒有任何昂貴的財產，祂過著非常平凡的生活。最後，耶穌被吊掛在一個木頭十字架上，像是小偷和殺人犯這樣常見的罪犯，經常被用這種方式處死。 　所有這些事都在告訴我們耶穌非常的謙卑！祂願意捨棄在天上的家，來到世上過著平凡的生活。 　今天經文的第2節告訴我們應該要「注視耶穌」，祂是我們完美的榜樣。今天就像耶穌一樣謙卑。 －NW 「（耶穌）不在十字架前退縮；相反地，為了那等待著他的喜樂，他不把死在十字架上的羞辱當作一回事。」 希伯來書12:2b 禱告：親愛的上帝，求祢幫助我像耶穌一樣謙卑。奉主的名，阿們！ (林威妮譯)

Jesus was Humble

Jesus’ life on earth was filled with many common things. He was not born in a king’s palace. Instead, when Jesus was born, He was laid in an animal feeding box. 　As Jesus grew up, He probably helped His earthly father, Joseph. Joseph was a carpenter. Jesus may have helped him make common objects like chairs and tables. When we read about Jesus’ ministry, we see that He was not wealthy or had any fancy possessions. He lived a very common life. Finally, Jesus was hung on a wooden cross. Usually common criminals such as thieves and murderers were killed this way. 　All of these things show us that Jesus was very humble! He was willing to give up His heavenly home and come to earth and live a common life. 　Verse 2 of our Bible Reading tells us that we should “never stop looking to Jesus.” He is our perfect example. Be humble like Jesus today. —NW “[Jesus] suffered death on a cross. But he accepted the shame of the cross as if it were nothing because of the joy he could see waiting for him.” Hebrews 12:2b PRAYER: Dear God, help me to be humble like Jesus. In His name. Amen.
