今天的經文是一個禱告，是耶穌在客西馬尼園所作的禱告。耶穌在被釘十字架的前一晚作了這個禱告。耶穌先談到了永生作為禱告的開始：「認識你是惟一的真神，並且認識你所差來的耶穌基督，這就是永恆的生命」(第3節)。然後，耶穌禱告希望祂的門徒會順服上帝，並且被上帝保護、脫離惡者。 最後，耶穌為所有信祂的人禱告。在客西馬尼園的那個晚上，耶穌為你和我禱告！「願他們都合而為一。父親哪，願他們在我們的生命裏；正如你在我生命裏，我在你生命裏一樣。願他們都合而為一，為要使世人信我是你所差遣的」(第21節)。 耶穌關心別人，祂為門徒禱告，祂也為我們禱告。今天就學像耶穌，為你的家人、你的朋友、以及必須認識耶穌的人們禱告。 —BH 「父親哪，你已經把他們賜給我；我在哪裏，願他們也跟我同在那裏，為要使他們看見你賜給我的榮耀；因為在創世之前，你已經愛我了。」 約翰福音17:24

Our Bible Reading today is a prayer that Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus prayed this prayer on the night before He was crucified. Jesus began this prayer by talking about eternal life. “And this is eternal life: that people can know you, the only true God, and that they can know Jesus Christ, the one you sent” (verse 3). Then Jesus prayed that His disciples would obey God and be protected from the devil. Finally, Jesus prayed for all people who would believe in Him. That night in the garden, Jesus prayed for you and me! “Father, I pray that all who believe in me can be one. You are in me and I am in you. I pray that they can also be one in us. Then the world will believe that you sent me” (verse 21). Jesus was concerned about other people. He prayed for His disciples, and He prayed for us. Be like Jesus today. Pray for your family, your friends and people who need to know about Jesus. —BH “Father, I want these people you have given me to be with me in every place I am. I want them to see my glory — the glory you gave me because you loved me before the world was made.” John 17:24
PRAYER: Father, I pray that all people will know about Jesus and follow Him. In His name. Amen. |
