沒有一個人可以做任何事來將自己從罪裡拯救出來。想像一下你有一張紙和一支奇異筆，現在假想你在紙上寫了一句壞話，因為奇異筆是永久性的，你無法擦掉那句話。你可以把它用筆塗黑、蓋住它，但是那句話仍然在紙上。你可以在紙上畫美麗的圖案，但是那句壞話仍然在那裡。那些你寫下的好話並不會讓那句壞話消失。企圖隱藏我們的罪並不會塗抺掉它們，而做善事也不會除掉我們的罪。我們需要能幫助我們的人！唯一可以赦免我們罪的那一位是上帝。今天經文的第8節，保羅談到這一點：「你們是靠上帝的恩典、憑信心而得救的；這不是出於你們自己的行為，而是上帝的恩賜。」 耶穌藉著死在十字架上來為我們的罪付出代價，這是祂白白送給我們的恩典禮物！ －MK 「上帝是我們的創造者；他藉著基督耶穌改造了我們，要我們行善；這是他早已計劃要我們去做的。」 以弗所書2:10

Saved by Grace

No person can do anything to save himself from sin. Imagine you have a piece of paper and a permanent marker. Now imagine that you write a bad word on the paper. Because the marker is permanent, you can’t erase the word. You can cover it up by marking over it, but the word is still on the paper. You can draw beautiful pictures on the paper, but that bad word will still be there. Those good things you write will not make the bad word disappear. Trying to hide our sins does not erase them. And doing good things cannot erase our sins either. We need someone who can help us! The only One who can forgive our sins is God. In verse 8 of our Bible Reading, Paul talks about that. “I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourself; it was a gift from God.” Jesus paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross. That is His free gift of grace to us! —MK “God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
PRAYER: Lord God, thank You for Your free gift of grace through Jesus. In His name. Amen. |
