有時候，當我讀到保羅所遭遇的一切困難時，我想知道他怎麼還能夠讚美上帝。今天的經文幫助我們了解保羅在患難時如何能讚美上帝。 　今天經文的第3和4節說：「我們要感謝我們的主耶穌基督的父上帝！他是慈愛的天父，也是一切安慰的來源。在我們的各種患難中，他安慰我們，使我們能夠用他所賜給我們的安慰去安慰遭遇各種患難的人。」 　今天人們尋求安慰，他們經常期待人間的事物來安慰他們，但是這些經節告訴我們，上帝是唯一真正安慰的來源。當祂安慰了我們，我們就將這份安慰傳遞給別人，我們用這種方式來分擔彼此的患難。 　因著上帝的安慰，保羅能夠讚美上帝，就算在他遭遇苦難時。今天就謝謝上帝賜下祂的愛和安慰。 －DVH* 「我們對你們的信心從不動搖；我們知道，你們分擔了我們的苦難，也要分享我們所得到的安慰。」 哥林多後書1:7 禱告：上帝，謝謝祢賜下我可以去跟別人分享的安慰。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Comfort

Sometimes when I read about all the difficult things Paul faced, I wonder how he could praise God. Our Bible verses today helps us understand how Paul was able to praise God even during bad times. 　Verses 3 and 4 of our Bible Reading say, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Father who is full of mercy, the God of all comfort. He comforts us every time we have trouble so that when others have trouble, we can comfort them with the same comfort God gives us.” 　People today are looking for comfort. Often they expect things in the world to comfort them. But these Bible verses show us that God is the only source of true comfort. When He comforts us, we then can pass that comfort on to other people. In this way we share in each other’s sufferings. 　Because of God’s comfort, Paul could praise Him, even when he was facing troubles.
