聖誕故事中的一個主角是馬利亞，今天經文的第28節告訴我們，馬利亞是一個非常特別的女孩。上帝的天使到馬利亞面前，說：「願你平安！你是蒙大恩的女子，主與你同在！」 　對於天使告訴她的事，馬利亞一定感到困感和害怕：「你要懷孕生一個兒子，要給他取名叫耶穌」（第31節）。天使告訴馬利亞：「那將誕生的聖嬰要被稱為上帝的兒子」（第35b節）。 　馬利亞如何回應這個信息呢？她有跟上帝說她不想要做這件事嗎？沒有！馬利亞有說她必須花幾天的時間來考慮這件事嗎？沒有！馬利亞說（第38節）：「我是主的婢女；願你的話成就在我身上。」 　上帝經常向你顯明你必須為祂做的事，而你怎麼回應呢？我希望你像馬利亞一樣，順服並服事上帝。 －JK 「他將成為偉大的人物，他要被稱為至高上帝的兒子。主─上帝要立他繼承他祖先大衛的王位。」 路加福音1:32 禱告：上帝，因著馬利亞，以及她願意服事祢的心，我感謝祢。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

One of the main characters in the Christmas story is Mary. Verse 28 of our Bible Reading tells us that Mary was a very special girl. God’s angel went to Mary and said, “Greetings! The Lord is with you; you are very special to him.” 　Mary must have been confused and scared about the things that the angel told her. “Listen! You will become pregnant and have a baby boy. You will name him Jesus” (verse 31). The angel told Mary that the “baby will be holy and will be called the Son of God” (verse 35b). 　How did Mary react to this news? Did she tell God that she didn’t want to do this? No! Did Mary say that she needed to think about it for a few days? No! Mary said (verse 38), “I am the servant of the Lord God. Let this thing you have said happen to me!” 　Often God shows you what you need to do for Him. How do you react? I hope that you are like Mary. Obey and serve God. —JK “He [Jesus] will be great. People will call him the Son of the Most High God, and the Lord God will make him king like his ancestor David.” Luke 1:32 PRAYER: God, thank You for Mary and that she was willing to serve You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
