耶穌的名 (2)

在昨天的經文中，我們讀到馬太福音第1章。第23節說：「有童女將懷孕生子，他的名字要叫以馬內利。」（「以馬內利」的意思就是「上帝與我們同在」。）」這一節經文是引用自以賽亞書，以賽亞曾預言有童女（馬利亞）要懷孕生子（耶穌），以賽亞也說馬利亞的孩子要被稱作「以馬內利」。 　耶穌以嬰孩的形像來到世上，這個事件就等於上帝來住在世人中間。耶穌的誕生就像你我的出生一樣，祂成長、祂吃東西，而且祂也工作。但是耶穌是不一樣的，祂既是人，而且祂也是上帝！ 　上帝以耶穌的樣式來到世上，祂像我們一樣受苦，上帝和耶穌了解悲傷、飢餓、寂寞或是受試探是什麼樣的感受。因為上帝和耶穌了解這些事，所以祂們能賜給我們幫助和安慰。 　感謝上帝賜下耶穌－－祂賜給這世界的美好禮物！ －JK 「到了兒子知道辨別是非、棄惡擇善的時候，他（以馬內利）要以乳和蜜為食物。」 以賽亞書7:15 禱告：天父，感謝祢了解我們的感受，感謝祢賜下安慰和祝福。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (林威妮譯)

In our Bible Reading yesterday, we read from Matthew, chapter 1. Verse 23 said, “The virgin will be pregnant and will give birth to a son. They will name him Immanuel. (Immanuel means ‘God with us.’)” This verse is a quote from the book of Isaiah. Isaiah prophesied that a virgin (Mary) would give birth to a baby (Jesus). Isaiah also said that Mary’s baby would be called “Immanuel.” 　Jesus came to earth as a baby. This event was God coming to live among people. Jesus was born just like you and I were born. He grew up, He ate food, and He worked. But Jesus was different. He was a man, and He was also God! 　God came to earth in the form of Jesus. He suffered like we suffer. God and Jesus understand what it feels like to be sad or hungry or lonely or tempted. Because God and Jesus understand these things, they can give us help and comfort. 　Thank God for Jesus — His wonderful gift to the world! —JK “He [Immanuel] will eat milk curds and honey as he learns to choose good and refuse evil.” Isaiah 7:15 PRAYER: Father, thank You for understanding how we feel.
