今天的經文告訴我們，上帝有一個奧祕，從「以往的世代，上帝把這奧祕隱藏起來」（第9b節）。 　在第3節，保羅說上帝使他知道祂的奧祕計畫。這個奧祕計畫是什麼呢？這個計畫就是「藉著福音，外邦人得以跟猶太人同享上帝的福澤。他們是同一身體的肢體，並且分享上帝藉著在基督耶穌裏實現了的應許」（第6b節）。 　藉著上帝的愛和恩典，祂為外邦人預備了一個罪得赦免的方法，這個方法就是透過耶穌，祂為外邦人、同時也為猶太人死在十字架上。 　不論你是猶太人還是外邦人，耶穌為你死又復活了。「藉著基督，信靠他，我們得以坦然無懼地來到上帝面前」（第12節）。 —DJH* 「我們的靈性在違命的罪中死了的時候，他使我們跟基督一同復活；是他的恩典救了你們的。」 以弗所書2:5 禱告：親愛的天父，感謝祢賜給世人祢的愛和恩典。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (林威妮譯)

God's Secret Plan

Our Bible Reading today tells us that God had a secret. He kept this secret that “had been hidden in him since the beginning of time” (verse 9b). 　In verse 3, Paul says that God let him know His secret plan. What was this secret plan? The plan was “that by hearing the Good News, those who are not Jews will share with the Jews in the blessings God has for his people. They are part of the same body, and they share in the promise God made through Christ Jesus” (verse 6b). 　Through God's grace and love, He made a way for non-Jewish people to have their sins forgiven. That way was through Jesus. He died on the cross for non-Jews as well as Jews. 　Whether you are a Jew or a non-Jew, Jesus died and arose for you. “In Christ we come before God with freedom and without fear. We can do this because of our faith in Christ” (verse 12). —DJH* “We were spiritually dead because of all we had done against him. But he gave us new life together with Christ.
