新生命
聖經閱讀：加拉太書5:16-25 現代中譯本|合和本

我的女兒在清晨3:30下班開車回家，有一個警察指示她把車子停到路邊。這位警察告訴我女兒，他攔住她是因為她開得很小心而且很守規矩！他知道喝醉的人經常開得很慢。警察確信我女兒沒有做錯任何事之後，她就繼續回家的路。 　今天世上有很多人知道他們正在做錯事，並猜想著自己何時會被抓。今天的經文談到像這樣的人。在第19-21節經文，保羅列出一些這些人所做、違背上帝的事情。 　但是之後保羅提醒我們，「那些屬於基督耶穌的人已經把他們本性上的一切邪情慾望都釘死在十字架上了。」如果你是一個基督徒，你在耶穌裡就擁有了新生命。你要繼續閱讀上帝的話語並跟隨聖靈。 —NM 「我們若是靠聖靈得新生命，就當靠聖靈行事。」 加拉太書5:25 禱告：天父，求祢幫助我聽從祢的話語和祢的聖靈。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳美婷譯)

My daughter was driving home from work at 3:30 in the morning. A policeman pulled her over to the side of the road. The policeman told my daughter that he stopped her because she was driving carefully and obeying all the laws! He had learned that people who are drunk often drive very slowly. The policeman was convinced that my daughter was not doing anything wrong, and she went on her way. 　Many people in the world today know they are doing something wrong and wonder when they will be caught. Our Bible Reading today talks about people like this. In verses 19-21, Paul lists some things that these people do to disobey God. 　But then Paul reminds us that those “who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their sinful self. They have given up their old sinful feelings and the evil things they wanted to do” (verse 24). If you are a Christian, you have a new life in Jesus. Continue to read God's Word and follow the Holy Spirit. —NM “We get new life from the Spirit, so we should follow the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25 PRAYER: Father, help me to follow Your Word and Your Spirit.
