出去接觸人

保羅旅行時，他遇見了一個名叫提摩太的人。提摩太的父親是希臘人，但他的母親是猶太人。提摩太之後成為基督徒並跟隨耶穌。 　保羅想要帶提摩太一起去向猶太人傳講耶穌，但是保羅擔心猶太人會因為提摩太未依照猶太律法行割禮而感到不高興。保羅不希望這一點成為問題而阻礙猶太人認識耶穌，今天經文的第3b節告訴我們，保羅「就替他行了割禮」來取悅猶太人。 　有時候我們會去一些人們穿著不同、有不同風俗習慣的地方，我們也許必須改變穿著方式和習慣好讓我們可以融入那些人，這樣，他們才會專心聆聽我們的信息並跟隨耶穌。 　今天當你專注於耶穌並帶著救恩的福音出去接觸人時，就請求上帝幫助你。 —SH* 「我們卻宣揚被釘十字架的基督。」 哥林多前書1:23a 禱告：天父，求祢幫助我今天出去接觸其他人。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (王亭惠譯)

While Paul was traveling, he met a man named Timothy. Timothy’s father was a Greek, but his mother was a Jew. Timothy became a Christian and followed Jesus. 　Paul wanted to take Timothy with him to tell Jewish people about Jesus. But Paul was worried that some Jews might be upset because Timothy had never been circumcised according to the Jewish law. Paul did not want this to be a problem and keep the Jews from learning about Jesus. Verse 3b of our Bible Reading tells us that “Paul circumcised Timothy to please the Jews.” 　Sometimes we go to places where the people dress differently and have different customs. We may need to change the way we dress and our customs so that we can fit in with those people. Then they will pay attention to our message and follow Jesus. 　Ask God to help you today as you focus on Jesus and reach out to others with the Good News of salvation. —SH* “But this is the message we tell everyone: Christ was killed on a cross.” 1 Corinthians 1:23a PRAYER: Father, help me to reach out to other people today.
