很久以前，士兵都戴頭盔來保護他們的頭免於受傷。現代的軍人仍然戴頭盔，甚至摩托車和自行車騎士也都戴頭盔來保謢自己。在今天的經文中，保羅說基督徒應該要「以救恩作頭盔」（使徒行傳6：17a）。頭盔可以保護人的頭和腦，同樣地，藉著耶穌的救恩可以保守我們的心思意念並且讓我們專注於上帝和祂的話語上。 魔鬼要引誘我們興起壞念頭，並且去懷疑上帝和祂的救恩計劃。但是，如果我們記得耶穌愛我們並且為我們死，我們就能和上帝保持親近。 也許今天魔鬼會引誘你去懷疑上帝是否愛你、是否希望你成為祂的兒女。請記得，耶穌為了你的罪受死並且賜給你一條通往永生的道路。 —CE 「上帝那麼愛世人，甚至賜下他的獨子，要使所有信他的人不致滅亡，反得永恆的生命。」 約翰福音3:16

God’s Armor (6)

Long ago, soldiers wore helmets to protect their heads from being injured. Today, soldiers still wear helmets. Even motorcyclists and bicyclists wear helmets to protect themselves. In our verses today, Paul says that Christians should accept “God’s salvation” as their helmet (verse 17a). A helmet protects a person’s head and brain. In the same way, salvation through Jesus protects our thoughts and keeps us focused on God and His Word. The devil wants to tempt us to think bad thoughts and doubt God and His plan of salvation. But if we remember that Jesus loves us and died for us, we will stay close to God. Maybe today the devil will tempt you to doubt that God really loves you and wants you to be His child. Keep remembering that Jesus died for your sins and gave you a way to receive eternal life. —CE “Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.” John 3:16
PRAYER: Thank You, God, for Your helmet of salvation. I want to live forever with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen. |
