等候
聖經閱讀：以賽亞書40:29-31 現代中譯本|合和本

　我不喜歡等待！當我必須久等時，就會感到焦躁不安，有時候要我等待才能做某一事時，我會生氣。
藉著讀經，上帝教我認識了一些等候的功課，今天閱讀的經文幫助我在等候時剛強，第31節說：「但是倚靠上主的人，充沛的精力源源不絕。他們會像老鷹一樣張開翅膀；他們奔跑不疲乏；他們行走不困倦。」
我常常出外旅行，所以一定會在公車站等車或在機場等航班，在我等候時，我知道上帝不要我焦躁不安或生氣，所以現在我都會帶一本書或雜誌來讀、看電視或是去逛禮品店。
當上帝沒有馬上回應我的禱告時，我也會感到不耐煩，但是上帝原諒我，並教導我更多關於等候和耐心的功課。 今天你可以倚靠上帝來幫助你耐心等候！ —PD

Waiting
Bible Reading: Isaiah 40:29-31

I do not like to wait! I become upset when I have to wait for a very long time. And sometimes I get angry when I have to wait to do something.
By reading the Bible, God has taught me some lessons about waiting. The verses in our Bible Reading today have helped me be strong while I wait. Verse 31 says, “But those who trust in the Lord will become strong again — like eagles that grow new feathers. They will run and not get weak. They will walk and not get tired.”
I travel a lot so I must wait in a bus station or airport. I know that God does not want me to be upset or angry as I wait. So now I take along a book or magazine to read, watch TV or look through the gift shops.
I also can be impatient when God does not answer my prayers right away. But God forgives me and teaches me more lessons about waiting and being patient.
You can depend on God to help you be patient today! —PD
