聖經確實是一本希望之書，因為裡面告訴我們關於耶穌的事情。藉著耶穌，我們有了與上帝同享永生的盼望。 　你也許會認為只有新約聖經才有說到耶穌的事情，但是在舊約聖經的創世記3:15告訴我們，有一天上帝的兒子會降臨，並消滅魔鬼。許多舊約聖經的書卷都預言，耶穌會來到世上成為完全無瑕的獻祭。 　今天的聖經閱讀告訴我們耶穌為我們成就的事。第5節說：「為我們的罪惡，他被刺傷；為我們的過犯，他挨毒打。因他受責罰，我們得痊愈；因他受鞭打，我們得醫治。」因為耶穌死在十字架上，我們才有與祂永遠同住的盼望。 　今天，就用一些時間來記念耶穌的犧牲，並因著祂賜給你的盼望而讚美上帝。 —ECW 「上主說：他挨打受苦是我的旨意……經歷了一生的痛苦，我的僕人要重新得到喜樂；他必知道受苦不是徒然。」 以賽亞書53:10-11a 禱告：親愛的天父，謝謝祢賜下話語，讓我們知道在耶穌裡我們所擁有的盼望。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

The Bible is truly a book of hope because it tells us about Jesus. Through Him, we have the hope of eternal life with God. 　You may think that only the New Testament tells us about Jesus. But in the Old Testament, Genesis 3:15 tells us that someday God’s Son will come and destroy the devil. Many Old Testament books prophesy about Jesus coming to earth to be the perfect sacrifice. 　Our Bible Reading today tells us what Jesus did for us. Verse 5 says, “But he was being punished for what we did. He was crushed because of our guilt. He took the punishment we deserved, and this brought us peace. We were healed because of his pain.” Because Jesus died on the cross, we have the hope of living forever with Him. 　Take some time today to remember Jesus’ sacrifice, and praise God for the hope that He has given to you. —ECW “But the Lord was pleased with this humble servant who suffered such pain...After his suffering he will see the light, and he will be satisfied with what he experienced.” Isaiah 53:10-11 PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word which shows us the hope we have in Jesus.
