死亡和復活
聖經閱讀：帖撒羅尼迦前書4:13-18 現代中譯本|合和本

在還沒有信主之前，我並不明白死亡的意義。當我八歲、住在智利的時候，有一次去農場找我的祖父，我看見遠方有一些羊和駱馬，當起步走向這些牲畜時，我看見了一條大水溝，我往裡面看去，看見溝底有一些骨骸和棺材。我當時感到很害怕，然後就快步跑開。
在今天閱讀的經文中，保羅教導關於死亡和復活的事，他想要鼓勵帖撒羅尼迦的基督徒，保羅說：「上帝也要把那些已經死了的信徒跟耶穌一起帶去」（第14b節）。
我現在是一個基督徒，我不用像在八歲時那樣害怕死亡了，我知道耶穌為我受死，祂從死裡復活，有一天我也會復活，然後跟祂永遠同住。 知道上帝愛你並希望你接受祂的救恩和永生，這會使你受到激勵。 —MC*

　Before I became a Christian, I did not understand about death. When I was an eight-year-old boy in Chile, I visited my grandfather on a farm. I saw some goats and llamas in the distance. As I started walking toward the animals, I saw a huge trench. I looked in the trench and saw bones and caskets. I was very scared, and I ran away quickly.
In our Bible Reading today, Paul taught about death and resurrection. He wanted to encourage the Christians in Thessalonica. Paul explained that “God will raise to life through Jesus any who have died and bring them together with him when he comes” (verse 14b).
I am a Christian. I don't need to be scared about death like I was when I was eight years old. I know that Jesus died for me. He rose from death, and I, too, will be raised someday and live forever with Him.
You can be encouraged to know that God loves you and wants you to accept His gift of salvation and eternal life. —MC*
