聖經閱讀：詩篇27:7-14 現代中譯本|合和本

　當我的兒子還小的時候，要他們等候聖誕節的到來是非常困難的事。所以我們做了一條紙鏈，當一天過去時，就從紙鏈拿走一個圈圈。紙鏈會越來越短，最後只剩下一個紙環，我兒子總是很興奮知道只剩下一天就是聖誕節了！
有時候我們作了禱告，上帝並沒有馬上回應我們的禱告。要我們等候祂的回應也許是件困難的事，在今天經文閱讀的第14節，大衛這麼寫：「要等候耶和華！當壯膽，堅固你的心！我再說，要等候耶和華！」
大衛知道什麼是「等候」，在撒母耳膏立他成為君王之前，他必須等候十二年才成為以色列的王。在大衛等候的期間，掃羅王企圖殺害他，他倚靠上帝的幫助。
今天不可失去耐性！要等候上帝回應你的禱告。祂掌管一切，祂知道什麼是對你最好的！ －BH

禱告：主啊！我已經禱告請求祢的幫助，但等候祢的回應是困難的事，求祢幫助我耐心等候。奉耶穌的名，阿們！

　When my sons were small, it was very hard for them to wait for Christmas Day to arrive. So we made a chain of paper links. As each day went by, we took one link off the chain. The chain became shorter and shorter until there was only one link left. My boys were always excited to realize that there was only one more day until Christmas!
Sometimes when we pray, God does not answer our prayers right away. It may be hard for us to wait for His answers. In verse 14 of our Bible Reading David wrote, “Wait for the Lord's help. Be strong and brave, and wait for the Lord's help.”
David knew about waiting. When Samuel anointed him as king, he had to wait twelve years before
he finally became the king of Israel. While David was waiting, he depended on God to help him when King Saul tried to kill him.
Don't become impatient today! Wait for God to answer your prayers. He is in control, and He knows what is best for you! —BH

“Be strong and brave, all of you who are waiting for the Lord's help.” Psalm 31:24

PRAYER: Lord, I have prayed and asked for Your help. It is hard to wait for Your answer. Help me to be patient. In Jesus' name. Amen.
