作好預備

今天閱讀的經文是保羅寫給帖撒羅尼迦教會的話，保羅寫這封信是要更進一步告訴人們耶穌再來的時間，並且在他們等候耶穌的時候鼓勵他們。 　如果想要為新的一天作好預備，你會怎麼做呢？會賴在床上睡覺嗎？不會！你會設定好鬧鐘，準時起床並且穿好衣服。同理，保羅說我們要為耶穌的再來作好預備，「所以，我們不應該像別人那樣沉睡；我們要警醒戒備」（第6節）。 　當耶穌再來時，你會是什麼狀況呢？你是否已經預備好迎接耶穌呢？或者你會為自己的不順服感到羞愧？我們不知道耶穌什麼時候會再來，所以我們必須每一天隨時作好預備。 　今天你一定要預備好自己來面見耶穌！－JD* 「人子來臨的記號要在天際出現。至於那要臨到的日子和時間，沒有人知道；天上的天使不知道，兒子也不知道，只有父親知道。」 馬太福音24:30b, 36 禱告：天父，我願為耶穌的再來作好預備。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Our Bible verses today were written by Paul to the church in Thessalonica. Paul wrote this letter to tell the people more about the time Jesus will come back and to encourage them as they waited for Jesus. 　If you want to be ready for a new day, what do you do? Do you stay in bed and sleep? No! You set your alarm, get up and get dressed. In the same way, Paul says that we need to be ready for Jesus to come back. “So we should not be like other people. We should not be sleeping. We should be awake and have self-control” (verse 6). 　When Jesus comes back, what will you be doing? Will you be ready to welcome Jesus, or will you be ashamed that you were not obeying Him? We do not know when Jesus will come, so we need to be ready every minute of the day. 　Be sure that you are ready to meet Jesus today! —JD* “Everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds in the sky.
