有一天彼得在耶路撒冷向一群人佈道，他向他們傳講耶穌的事蹟，並且說祂死去是為了讓他們的罪得到赦免。那些人對自己的罪感到難過，他們問彼得（第37節）：「我們該做甚麼呢？」彼得告訴他們該怎麼做：「你們每一個人都要悔改，並且要奉耶穌基督的名受洗，好使你們的罪得到赦免，你們就會領受上帝所賜的聖靈」（第38節）。那一天有三千人受洗。 如果你相信耶穌、對自己的罪表示悔改，並且承認耶穌是你的救主，那麼你就應該選擇聽從彼得的話受洗。洗禮是一幅耶穌受死的美麗圖像，「藉著洗禮，我們已經跟他同歸於死，一起埋葬」（羅馬書6:4a）。 你要以那些悔改並受洗的初代基督徒為榜樣、效法他們。－ECW 「所以，你們要去，使萬國萬民都作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗。」 馬太福音28:19

One day Peter preached to a group of people in Jerusalem. He told them about Jesus and that He had died so their sins could be forgiven. The people were sorry for their sins. They asked Peter (verse 37), “What should we do?” Peter told them what they should do. “Change your hearts and lives and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Then God will forgive your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (verse 38). That day 3000 people were baptized. If you believe in Jesus, have repented of your sins and confessed Jesus, you should choose to obey Peter's words and be baptized. Baptism is a beautiful picture of Jesus' death. “So when we were baptized, we were buried with Christ and took part in his death” (Romans 6:4a). Follow the example of the early Christians who repented and were baptized. —ECW “So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
