我在聽障事工的工作之一是接聽電話。跟人談話並回答他們的問題是一件愉快是事情，但是，我並不喜歡跟自動語音系統溝通：「要買東西請按1，轉接客服人員請按5。」 　我很高興當我想跟上帝說話時，不需要透過語音系統或由另外一個人轉接，我可以隨時開始禱告，而祂總會一直等著來留心聆聽我的禱告。我可以每週七天、每天24小時跟上帝有即時的溝通。 　今天的經文是關於哈娜的故事。那時，她傷心難過，「不停地向上主禱告」(第12a節)，然後第13節告訴我們，「哈娜默默地祈禱，只動嘴唇，沒有出聲」，但是上帝留心聆聽了哈娜的禱告，並賜給她想要得到的兒子。 　你現在就可以跟上帝說話，而且你可以確信，上帝將會按著祂的時間，並按著對你最好的方式來回應你的禱告！—JK 「我向上主求這孩子，他照我所求的給了我。」 撒母耳記上1:27 禱告：天父，謝謝祢總是留心聆聽我的禱告。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

One of my jobs at Deaf Missions is to answer the phones. It is a pleasure to talk with people and answer their questions. But I do not enjoy communicating with an automated telephone system. “Press 1 if you want to order something. Press 5 and you will be placed on hold until someone can help you.” 　I am so glad that I don’t have to go through a system or another person when I want to talk to God. I can just start praying. He is always waiting to pay attention to me. I can have instant communication with God 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 　Our Bible Reading today is about Hannah. She was upset and sad. She “prayed to the Lord for a long time” (verse 12a). And verse 13 tells us that “she was praying in her heart.” God paid attention to Hannah’s prayer and gave her the son that she wanted. 　You can talk with God right now. You can be sure that He will answer your prayers in His time and in a way that is best for you! —JK “I prayed for this child, and the Lord answered my prayer.
