摩西死後，約書亞成為以色列民的領袖。今天閱讀的經文跟我們談到，當約書亞成為以色列民的領袖時，上帝給他的一些指示。
上帝吩咐約書亞要遵守摩西的命令，而且要記住法律書上所寫的一切話，祂又告訴約書亞不要害怕，但是有一件事，上帝一次又一次吩咐約書亞，就是「你要堅強，要勇敢」（經文第6，7和9節）。
這件事之後的幾年，約書亞和以色列民遭遇到了許多事情，他們面對強大的軍隊和堅固的城池，但約書亞總是提醒百姓要剛強、要勇敢。
今天你遭遇哪一種困難的處境呢？疾病、失業、所愛的人離世？無論你要面對的是甚麼，你可以倚靠上帝與你同在。今天就像約書亞一樣堅強、勇敢吧！ —ECW

「他們回答約書亞：你命令我們做甚麼，我們就做甚麼…我們會服從你，像服從摩西一樣。願上主─你的上帝與你同在，正如他與摩西同在一樣。」 約書亞記1:16-17

　After Moses died, Joshua became the leader of the Israelites. Our Bible verses today tell us some of the instructions God gave Joshua when he became the leader of the Israelites.
God told Joshua to obey Moses' commands and to remember what was written in the book of law. He also told Joshua to not be afraid. But God told Joshua one thing over and over again, “Be strong and brave” (verses 6, 7 and 9).
Joshua and the Israelites faced many things in the years after that. They faced great armies and strong cities. But Joshua always reminded the people that they should be strong and brave.
What kind of difficult situation are you facing today — illness, loss of a job, the death of a loved one? No matter what you have to face, you can depend on God to be with you. Be strong and brave like Joshua today! —ECW

“Then the people answered Joshua, ‘We will do whatever you command us to do...We will obey whatever you say, just as we obeyed Moses. We only ask that the Lord your God be with you just as he was with Moses.’” Joshua 1:16-17
