今天閱讀的經文告訴我們，瑪挪亞和他的妻子無法生育，但是有一天，有一位天使告訴瑪挪亞的妻子，說她將要有一個兒子，「因為他一出生就要獻給上帝作離俗人。他要開始解救以色列脫離非利士人的工作」（第5b節）。
瑪挪亞的妻子將天使說的事告訴他，然後瑪挪亞就向上帝禱告，他說（第8b節）：「主啊，求你讓你差來的那神的人回到我們這裡，教我們怎樣待將要出生的孩子。」天使就再次顯現並幫助瑪挪亞與他的妻子。不久之後，他們的兒子參孫出生了，參孫長大後就成為以色列的士師和領袖。
瑪挪亞求問上帝指示他如何養育兒子。你或許是一個父親或祖父，或者你正在幫忙養育一些孩子，在教導孩子的時候，你一定要懇求上帝幫助你、引導你。 —JK

「這孩子（參孫）漸漸長大；上主賜福給他。當他在但營的時候，上主的靈開始充滿他。」 士師記13:24b-25a

　Our Bible Reading tells us that Manoah and his wife could not have children. But one day, an angel told Manoah's wife that she would have a son. “He will be God's special person from before he is born. He will save the Israelites from the power of the Philistines” (verse 5b).
Manoah's wife told him about the angel. Then Manoah prayed to God. He said (verse 8b), “Lord, I beg you to send the man of God to us again. We want him to teach us what we should do for the boy who will soon be born.” The angel returned and helped Manoah and his wife. Later, their son, Samson, was born. Samson grew up to be a leader and judge in Israel.
Manoah asked God to show him how to raise his son. Maybe you are a father or a grandfather. Or maybe you are helping to raise some children. Be sure to ask God to help and direct you as you teach your children. —JK

“He [Samson] grew and the Lord blessed him. The Spirit of the Lord began to work in Samson while he was in the city of Mahaneh Dan.” Judges 13:24b-25a

PRAYER: God, I thank You for the children You have placed in my life. Please help me to teach them to follow You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
